GPE-D Modules

Students must complete 120 credits in four semesters to be awarded the Master of Science in Global Production Engineering degree. The GPE-D degree program is divided into five module groups:

  • A Production,
  • B Engineering,
  • C Management,
  • D Intercultural Communication,
  • E Special Profile.

Each module group is assigned so-called modules. The modules usually consist of 1-4 courses. The curriculum is subject to permanent review in order to meet the requirments of industry and research.

Each module corresponds to a certain number of credit points (CP) whose evaluation is based on the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). One credit point equates to a workload of 30 hours.

In the first three semesters, modules with a total of 90 CP (30 CP per semester) are to be completed and corresponds to an average workload of 37 hours during the semester weeks. The workload includes self-study hours, exercises, online meetings, Q&A sessions, exams, etc.

In the fourth semester, students shall complete an internship of at least 12 nine weeks (12 credit points) and write a master's thesis (18 credit points).

An extension of the internship period for the application of the newly acquired knowledge is supported and the associated extension of the standard period of study is granted.
